A centerpiece of the Lum Ha’ demonstrative farm will be its processing center.

Legumes, vegetables, medicinal herbs, honey, meat and milk products from the farm and the region will be transformed into added-value products, ready to be distributed and sold regionally and nationally.

We will build these installations primarily with natural materials; they will take up around 80 square meters of productive space, with a bodega to store and cure fresh products, as well as a social area for visits and meetings. The space will be above the current kitchen, close to the vegetable garden, with easy access from the farm’s entrance.

This space will not only be an essential production and sales center on the demonstrative permaculture farm, but also an important educational center where young people from nearby communities can learn about different processing techniques.
