Compost and Natural Fertilizers

The regenerative capacity of the ranch’s agricultural activities should be accelerated through fermentations, compost preparations and natural fertilizers. The idea is to close the circles of organic matter on the Lum Ha’ Ranch by connecting them to the regional environments. The circles are closed in a balanced and efficient way offering increased fertility and permanent purification.

Lum Ha’ Ranch and the Yonton Te Initiative drive several composting operations. Some for the crops on the Ranch and others will be accessible to the neighborhood so they can get involved and participate in the development and use of worm tea, biols and bokashi. We wish to make these bio-fertilizers and organic fertilizers accessible on a regional scale, as an alternative to chemical fertilizers.

At the beginning of 2022, a bio-fertilizer factory has been created and intensive worm composting, biols, bokashi and mountain microorganisms operations are currently being implemented. There is a great regional demand for organic fertilizer. That is why we are committed to transforming organic matter from the ranch and its immediate surroundings into high quality compost.

Once the design at the Lum Ha’ farm is finished, we will focus on supporting the development of the same design in the region.
